Narrow scope, done well
We file one thing really well before adding the next. Form 5472 first; Delaware, 1099-NEC, and home-country filings on the same disciplined track.
About
We started BorderFile because the straightforward annual filings — the ones with four-figure IRS penalties — kept slipping through the cracks for founders who weren't physically in the US.
Operating principles
We file one thing really well before adding the next. Form 5472 first; Delaware, 1099-NEC, and home-country filings on the same disciplined track.
A reviewer runs the checklist. An Enrolled Agent or CPA signs it off. Different people. Neither one is the preparer.
Due dates, fees, penalties, fax numbers, and prices live in versioned config, not in marketing copy. Every number carries a verifiable source.
The free tools give you a lane; the formal filing is signed by a credentialed professional and documented in your proof pack.
Who signs your filing
Every filing lists the preparer, reviewer, and the EA or CPA who approved it. Names, firm, and credential number appear in your proof pack and in the audit history on your filing. BorderFile maintains relationships with multiple US Enrolled Agents and CPAs so that reviewer and approver are always different people, and so that a specific CPA with state-level depth can be routed to a filing when the engagement needs it.
